the mice will remodel bathrooms. Ok, remodel might be a strong term.
For those of you that have been to our house, you know that it has some interesting features being a 1958 model. Most of these features are in the vintage pink and blue tiled bathrooms. While Blair is out on vacation, I thought it might be a good time to do some fixin’-up.
In our blue bathroom I updated the light fixture, tore out a hideous medicine-cabinet-with-strange-antlers-for-light-bulbs that was over our toilet, and installed a new bathroom wall cabinet. The demo was fun, the light was easy, and the cabinet install was pretty straightforward. The hardest part was choosing a cabinet that Blair would like.
How’d I do? I’m not commenting on the flaws so that hopefully no one notices them. I will say that since the cabinet covers different wall space than the previous monstrousity, I will probably need to repaint the walls.
Unfortunately the same light fixture in the pink bathroom doesn’t fit because of the size of the medicine cabinet. I’ll have to wait for her to get home to pick out a new light, or a new mirror.
