Lavatory Updates: Part II

August 5th, 2008 by AR

Before Blair and I moved into our house, before the floors were even installed, we painted.  We painted a lot.  Every room, accent walls, ceilings… 2 coats of primer, 2 coats of paint.  A year later we did the same thing to the outside of our house, leaving the 1970s brown paint and orange brick behind.  The only thing we didn’t paint, because we were set on a full blown remodel, was the bathroom.

This memory quickly returned to me as I placed a brand new white bathroom cabinet against the sun-yellowed paneling.  As you probably noticed in the previous pics, it needed paint.  Badly.

So last night, I painted.  And painted, and painted.  2 coats of semi-gloss white.  This meant I had to remove and reinstall the light fixture and cabinet I just put up, but that wasn’t a big deal.

Tonight… no paint.  No drilling.  No measuring.  A-Reed Out.
