36 Weeks & Good News

One more appointment down and only four more to go*!

Blair and Grayson both had great appointments today.  Even though Blair wasn’t gaining the “right” amount of weight, Grayson must be eating like a champ… right now they estimate that he’s already 6lb 11oz, with a +/- 1lb margin of error.  Our doctor guessed he’s probably right between 6 and 7.5 lbs.  On average, babies at this stage gain half a pound per week, so that would put him between 8 and 9.5 lbs on our due date (in theory)!

The technician estimated his weight by measuring his head, torso and thigh bone during the sonogram.  Grayson made this fairly difficult for her by refusing to sit still (just like daddy).  As soon as she started the sonogram Grayson greeted us by sticking his tongue out, which we unfortunately did not get a picture of.  We did however get these:

We also have two other pictures, but one had a lot of shadows and honestly looked a little creepy.  I can say that because it’s my kid.  The other one confirms once again that Grayson is a boy, and you guys have already seen enough of that.
